Extended Fulvalenes

Extended fulvalenes are composed of two fully unsaturated odd-membered rings conjugated via an [n]cumulene moiety. These hydrocarbons can be highly polarized if substituted with rings of different sizes. Aromatic stabilization via charge transfer conjugation is the source of their unusual structures and properties.
